The Orchard
Nestled in the beautiful Cornish countryside, our orchard is the heart and soul of everything we create. More than a place where apples grow, it is a living landscape where nature, heritage and traditions come together to shape every bottle of Horneywink.

Our journey began in November 2022 with the planting of our very first 130 cider apple trees. Today, the orchard has flourished to over 1,000 trees, and will grow again this winter planting an additional 500 more trees. It is home to a carefully curated collection of traditional cider apple varieties alongside some of Cornwall’s most treasured heritage apples. Each variety has been selected to bring its own unique character, complexity and balance, allowing us to create ciders that are a true expression of our land.
The transformation of the site has been remarkable. Once a bare grazing field, untouched for more than 45 years, it has become a thriving, biodiverse orchard alive with birdsong, wildflowers, pollinating insects and native wildlife. Every season brings new life, from blossom-filled spring mornings to the rich harvest of autumn, creating an ever-changing landscape that reflects the rhythm of nature.

Our commitment extends far beyond growing exceptional apples. We believe that great cider begins with healthy soils, flourishing ecosystems and a deep respect for the environment. By nurturing biodiversity and working in harmony with the natural world, we are creating an orchard that will continue to thrive for generations to come.
Every bottle of Horneywink is born from this remarkable place. A celebration of Cornwall’s unique terroir, our passion for traditional cider making and the enduring beauty of an orchard rooted in nature.
